the loss of a living legend

Don't ask me why i'm blogging everyday. I just feel like it so if you have anything to say about that, DON'T :D heeeee.

I have to keep myself in the house for the whole day today and finish my assignments but as soon as i woke up, i called peeps and started calling everyone for an outing. Wtf is wrong with me blerghhh! I need to set my priorities straight damn it :(

Was up till 5 last night trying to figure out the design that i'm going to do for my Design Fundamental assignment. It's due on wednesday by the way T____T

Anyway, the sudden pass of Yasmin Ahmad has indeed been confirmed today. Yasmin Ahmad ; age 51 passed away last night at 11.25pm in Damansara specialist after going into a coma. She suffered a stroke on thursday while having this meeting with Dato' Siti and her old husband wtf =.=

Gosh, this is so shocking. She was practically the only director in malaysia who actually made a difference in the domestic entertainment capital. She was well known for the movies that she had created. Some of them are Sepet, Gubra, Mukhsin and Talentime. I watched all of them mind you. Her ways of making a statement and actually reach out to our nation was very subtle but it definitely worked.

She is also known for her indescribably artistic ways of making an advert. Her ads would touch so many hearts. Some of them were funny and some of them were touching but all of them had a special meaning to it. It was somehow embedded in the clip itself and the way people could understand it made her a living legend.

As for me, this is a big loss to Malaysia. Great minds like these don't come by very often. Let's all pray for her peace and may Allah bless her soul.
